I liked the idea of this book: an angel that has an identity crisis. I also liked the way Angel narrated the book in short, cute sentences. Actually, the whole book is kind of cute, what with the happenings and her thoughts. Here’s what it’s about:
In a small village, there is a beautiful casa. And in that casa there is an angel. But that angel does not know what it has to do. So it satisfies itself with throwing pinecones when someone does something bad. Until the day Zola comes and invades her casa. Their friendship blooms: Zola with her unique ways matches with Angel’s calm actions. And their friendship is about to benefit the whole village…
I love this book, give it 8.5 stars, and recommend it for ages 8+. Sharon Creech has done it again.
