Fourth Day in Paris

Waking up to a fresh, crisp morning, we started our fourth day in Paris by tramping to the Place de la Concorde. It was very beautiful. The Luxor Obelisk was bathed in glorious sunshine and the Fontaines de la Concorde were glistening with gold.

After admiring the landmarks, we decided that our main attraction for today would be none other than the Eiffel Tower! On the way, we stopped by to see the Arc de Triomphe. It looked so elegant even from such a distance…

We also visited another famous macaroon seller: Pierre Herme. The shop is in a department store and, though it is surrounded with all kinds of expensive brands, it stood out with its cuteness.

My mom wanted to visit the Champs-Elysees so we strolled along on that renowned street. It looked very, how should I say it, Paris-ish.

While my mom went shopping my dad and I explored the exhibits going on. There was a vintage car one going on so we popped in. The history of vehicles is more interesting than I thought!

My mom met up with us soon, and she was carrying a new Louis Vuitton bag. It was lunchtime then, so we ate at a seafood restaurant. The food was a great combination of salty and sweet, seafood and vegetables. I give it 2 stars.

It was time to head towards the Eiffel Tower, so after we enjoyed the meal, we walked towards it. Along the way, we saw lots of cool things, like a Singapore exhibition advertisement and a building covered in grass! Apparently, they pulled off that appearance of the grass building by covering walls with pockets and inserting plants into the pockets.

Finally, we arrived at the Eiffel Tower. What a breath-taking structure!

My mom and I took the elevator up to the 2nd floor. The view was a-ma-zing. You can see the whole of the city from there and, since there are no tall buildings, take it in all one view.

Filled with admiration for Paris, we came down. It was time to head home. A famous cafe called ‘Angelina‘ was right in front of our house so we stopped by it on the way back. It’s famous for its hot chocolate and desserts. I tried the hot chocolate and it is so delicious! They make it so thick that they actually give a cup of cream for you to mix until you get the density you want. The interior was cute and cozy. Therefore, I give it 2.5 stars.

What a perfect way to end the day!
