Back to School

It’s the end of summer and, for most of us, the start of school. You have to get ready for your new classes, new teachers, and new classmates. Sure, it’s only another year but you still need to be prepared for the whole semester. Here are a few things I believe you must have in your backpack:

O.K, this is a definitely must: no question about it. Of course you need to bring your pencils and pens; how are you gonna do your work without it? πŸ˜‰ Maybe you might want to bring colored ones too. You know, to color those dull pieces of paper that teachers give out to torture us. πŸ™‚

Ah, the classic notebook. How I love these little bindings of paper! I like these because you can easily take down notes (therefore the name!) and do your work inside them. Killing two birds with one stone! Honestly, I like the ones that have “Date” and “Title” on top. Saves having to underline things!

Oh, yes, the old vintage padlock. No better way to keep your locker safe from old prying teachers and gossipy students than this! I have the one where you turn the lock to the combination (what was it called again?) but I think a key lock would be nice too.

Personally, I think a shoulder bag is the perfect thing to use for carrying things around. It’s big enough to fit your books and other stuff in and quite fashionable too! Of course, resting it on only one shoulder might make you a hunchback… πŸ™‚

So, the basics. Other personal stuff I’m not sure about: that’s why they’re personal! Get ready to go Back 2 School!

About The Empty Notebook

I'm a hopeful illustrator who wishes to change the world through art. I suppose, though, that I'll have to start simple - one sketch at a time.
